According to Robert J. Gordon, lawyer, tenacity is the prime quality an attorney must possess in order to bring home huge courtroom victories.Gordon should know. More recently, Mr. Gordon – a former Philadelphia assistant district attorney – earned the gratitude of many property owners and commercial enterprises along the rim of the Gulf of Mexico by helping secure a pledge of full compensation for their losses caused by a devastating 2010 offshore oil spill that began when an exploration rig exploded.
Mr. Gordon’s face is a familiar one on plaintiffs’ steering committees in multi-district litigations. Other critical leadership posts he has held include liaison counsel, co-liaison counsel, and subcommittee co-chair.
For the New York City Bar Assn., Mr. Gordon has served on its Committee on Tort Litigation; for the American Association for Justice, he has participated on the Scientific and Medical Integrity Committee and on the organization’s List Committee.
