Successful actor, Rhett Lindsey, was recently featured on Buzzfeed showcasing his talent and discussing the ways to find success in Hollywood. In addition, Lindsey shared his personal tricks for achieving success in the world of acting. Signed by Joy Pervis, world-renowned talent agent at the age of seven, Lindsey has worked in the industry a number of years, booking roles in commercials, theatre, television and film. His latest work includes There’s No Place Like Skid Row, Just Do It, Always Something, Gone But Not Forgotten, Being Mary Jane, and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.Regarding his recent appearance on Buzzfeed, he remarked, “Recently I was featured on Buzzfeed, about how to find success as an actor in Entertainment." Lindsey went on to talk about the importance of learning to accept rejection as being a part of the path to success. He shared he had learned early on that not every meeting will mean a part, because of all those seen for a particular role, only a single individual gets the part. He went on to explain that those new to Hollywood needed to be mindful, fully prepared, and confident in every audition so even if they didn’t book the role, they would leave a lasting impression on those in the room. The goal is to book the room. Booking the role is just the cherry on top.

Rhett Lindsey is an American Actor who was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. At age seven, Joy Pervis, world renowned talent agent discovered his abilities and he was signed to Hot Shot Kids Talent Agency. Soon after, he booked roles in several commercials, radio spots and theater productions. With bookings under his belt from years of hard work, he landed the role of "TJ" in the 20th Century Fox film Big Momma's: Like Father Like Son starring Martin Lawrence and Brandon T. Jackson. In the spring of 2013, he landed the role of Jah "Babycake" Johnson in the 1 hour BET drama Being Mary Jane, starring Gabrielle Union. Rhett is a graduate from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Social Work. He currently lives in Los Angeles, CA and is married to his husband Michael.
