The Lay Down Machine crane makes the difficult work of attaching heavy pieces of equipment safer and more efficient for everyone on oilfield worksites. By utilizing a unique lift-based system rather than relying solely on onsite manpower, the Lay Down Machine drastically reduces the risk of injury and worksite accidents without sacrificing productivity. It is Renegade’s belief that such security is not only responsible, but it also leads to efficiency gains and helps complete jobs in a timely fashion.Every function of the Lay Down Machine was carefully considered and measured to protect employees working onsite. Perforating guns are held securely in position via the designed closure at the top. When a gun reaches its maximum height (an angle approximately 80 degrees), this closure is released by means of a cable run to the operator. Besides providing greater strength, the crane also serves to better maintain balance and stability while holding and moving equipment. Operating speed doesn’t suffer: a heavy duty, high-tension spring makes the loading and removing of perforating guns a faster process. The winch lowers each gun back down in an easily controlled way, simplifying loading and unloading procedures.
