The team at dFence Protection & Connection explains that every 43 seconds, a vehicle is stolen in the United States. They launched their new technology to help combat this.

With the newly launched GPS tracking service, customers can surround their vehicle with a GPS-based “geo fence”. This has the functionality to ping the owner when the vehicle is moved beyond a custom set of boundaries.

In this way, customers can define the position they want to track around their vehicle. Then if it’s ever moved without them knowing, they can get alerted quickly.

The geo fence can be fully managed from any smartphone through the dFence app, and users get immediately notified so they can remedy the situation before it becomes too late.

Using the newly launched app, customers will see their vehicle’s location, speed and direction in real time on a map. This provides them with a new level of security, because tracking is streamlined and more accessible.

In addition to this, the dFence technology allows customers to quickly approve an affidavit that allows the police to access the account. Using the smartphone or the dFence website, customers can then connect with law enforcement.

The team at dFence states: “Sending an email to police through the app or website informs them that your vehicle has been taken, and provides a description of the vehicle as well as your contact information.”

They add: “They will receive a URL they can click, along with a password, so they can track your vehicle online in real time just as you are doing.”

The newly launched anti-theft technology can help to reduce stolen vehicles and get more vehicles found by police.
