Rawls McNelis + Mitchell proudly announces the addition of Anisa P. Kelley as the newest attorney with the firm.After graduating cum laude from Newcomb College of Tulane University with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree, she received her Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School in 1992.
Ms. Kelley then served as a law clerk to the Honorable John H. Suda of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Ms. Kelley is admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Virginia and the District of Columbia. She had the honor of being selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law and The Best Lawyers in America for Medical Malpractice Law. Ms. Kelley also served as Chair of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorney’s Medical Malpractice Section and on its Board of Directors.
Ms. Kelley advises and defends healthcare providers in professional regulatory board investigations and disciplinary actions, credentialing and peer review matters, third-party payor proceedings, and risk management occurrences. Ms. Kelley also has experience providing general counsel services to medical groups, and she has represented hundreds of healthcare providers in Virginia Board of Medicine matters and medical malpractice claims.
Rawls McNelis + Mitchell is announcing that Ms. Kelley will be expanding the firm’s services to Fairfax, Virginia. The addition of the Fairfax office will allow the firm to better serve its growing client base throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
