Nathaniel Glen Miller Jr, otherwise known as C.h.a.m.p, is a rap artist from Mesquite, Texas. The name C.H.A.M.P is an acronym for “Change Happens at My Pace.” His most popular song is Baby Debo from latest EP YOLO. His EPs Paper Route and YOLO, which to date have accumulated over a half million streams over all platforms, serve as appetizers for his upcoming album Therapy.On August 31, 2019 C.h.a.m.p was shot in the head at a house party in Des Moines, IA. After allegedly passing away and coming back to life, C.h.a.m.p was labeled disable. His injuries led him to being hospitalized for 15 days and 5 months of rehab followed. It was during this therapy when C.h.a.m.p began to express his pain and frustration through music, while coining his famous phrase “Change Happens at My Pace.”
His upcoming album Therapy is set to be released in March of 2022, and is said to capture the recollection of C.h.a.m.p’s entire upbringing from his birth past his fatal shooting in 2019. C.h.a.m.p has told sources that the album will contain 15 tracks and include two features. Many fans are excited to hear what the rapper has to say about his experiences, being that C.h.a.m.p’s biggest songs are fun and energetic. The anticipation for C.h.a.m.p to make songs that relate to the American everyday struggle is high.
Although faced with harsh adversity, C.h.a.m.p (Baby Debo) has two EPs out as of now. Paper Route, his first EP, was released on June 10, 2021. Dropping visuals to the last track, “Win,”C.h.a.m.p showcased rare skills for a beginner. His second and last EP YOLO contains C.h.a.m.p’s most notable track, “Baby Debo” which YouTube visuals surpassed 50k viewed in a span of 1 month. Right after his first release, he was able to receive the attention of music lovers.As a kid C.h.a.m.p gravitated to hip hop legends like 50 Cent, soaking up his rise to fame and his legendary music. Little did he know, C.h.a.m.p would one day also begin his own route to attain that status himself. After coming face to face with death in 2019, C.h.a.m.p pledged in his heart that the same music which got him through the most trying time in his life would become his career path. C.h.a.m.p rose to fame for his representation of popular angst and heart touching lyrics inspired from his life story.
