1. Breast Augmentation/Breast Implants
Breast augmentation at The Clifford Surgery utilizes Premium Motiva and MENTOR implants.
Most saline or medical-grade silicone gel implants on the market tend to retain a relatively fixed shape even with movement and can look unnatural in some cases. However, these high-grade premium implants by Motiva and MENTOR can flow naturally with a woman’s movements to give a very natural look, while still maintaining highly defined shape.
The viscous and elastic properties of both Motiva and MENTOR implants make it easier for the surgeon to work with which reduces the risk of the surgery. Additionally, these premium implants are very durable, reducing risk of future complications.
2. Double Eyelid Surgery
Double eyelid surgery at The Clifford Surgery is done using one of two approaches: “Cutting” or “Stitching”.
The first is Incisional Upper Blepharoplasty, which is the traditional “cutting” method of creating double eyelids. This involves a horizontal incision on the upper eyelid (the “cutting”) from which the Dr Shim will make the necessary adjustments before closing the incision.
The second approach is the Double Suture and Twist (DST) double eyelid surgery, also known as the “stitching” method. Dr Shim will make 3 strategically-placed punctures on the upper eyelid and pass a pair of sutures through them. The sutures are then tied with a special technique
In both approaches, the double eyelid crease formed from a combination of internal scar tissue and the how the wound is stitched.
3. Surgical eye bag removal
Their surgical eye bag removal procedure is also highly sought after, especially the scarless approach known as the transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty. In this procedure, the fatty tissue causing the eye bags are removed from an incision on the inner side of the lower eyelid. Because there are no cuts made on exposed skin surface, there is little risk of complications. Most importantly, there are no visible scars from this procedure.
For those with more severe eye bags, Dr Shim also performs pinch blepharoplasty as well. This is a procedure to trim excess skin under the eyes to address more complex eye bags that involve lax, sagging skin underneath the eyes.
4. Rhinoplasty
Also offered is the Rhinoplasty procedure, also known as a nose job. This procedure alters the shape of the nose to be more aesthetically pleasing.
Rhinoplasty can be further classified into various sub-types such as Traditional Rhinoplasty which alters the nose bridge/general shape of the nose, Nasal Tip Plasty which focuses on adjustments to the nose tip, as well as Alarplasty, which involves altering the width of the nostrils.
Rhinoplasty can also address functional issues like narrow nostrils and orofacial clefts in order to help alleviate breathing problems.
5. Liposuction
The Clifford Surgery also offers a range of different liposuction services for their patients. This includes Power-assisted liposuction by MicroAire and Ultrasound-assisted liposuction by VASER. Both approaches emulsify the fat into small liquid droplets before they are suctioned out of the body via a cannula. MicroAire does this via mechanical vibration, VASER does this using ultrasound. Liposuction is highly recommended for those who wish to remove stubborn pockets of fat that are unresponsive to diet changes and exercise.
