Queen West Physiotherapy and Acupuncture have supervised clinical internships for students from a wide variety of University Physiotherapy Programs and College Physiotherapy Assistant Programs since 1993. The clinic offers a stimulating learning environment and a team of health professionals that put each student at ease. All of the clinics instructors are passionate about facilitating the student’s learning process and ensure the student takes advantage of every opportunity available to improve their clinical skills
Queen West Physiotherapy offers career exploration for those interested in finding out if a certain career or work environment would interest them. Volunteering will also allow students to build skills, gain experience and gain support in their journey of finding a career path that is meant for them. Volunteers can attain both practical and theoretical knowledge, network and build lifelong relationships through helping others.
The clinic have a strict program and an interview is required before volunteering, along with a reference request if need be. There is a minimum amount of hours required, along with other standard demands. In return, students have a proper orientation, a positive learning experience, and the chance to improve themselves in a variety of ways.
Many of the former volunteers have gone on to become health care professionals or have found other related paths of success due to their jump start at Queen West Physiotherapy.
