A group of concerned local animal owners, along with representatives from PIRSA, will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday 10 September at 7:30pm at Cambrai Hall, Cambrai, South Australia. The meeting will discuss reports of ill health, deformities, infertility and other problems possibly related to mycotoxins (plant fungal contaminants) in the area.

Present will be a PIRSA Senior Veterinarian, who will give a brief presentation and discuss the effects of mycotoxins in animals.

A PIRSA Rural Chemicals officer will also be present to discuss issues and legislation about spray drift.

The meeting is a chance for local owners of livestock, including horses, sheep, goats and cattle, as well as hay producers, to hear from experts in Animal Health Issues. They can ask questions live and get information not readily available through other channels.

The aim of the meeting is to inform local animal owners and hay producers of each others' needs, so that problems such as miscarriage, deformities, poor growth, infertility and general ill health in animals can be avoided through better hay production methods.

There is a gold coin donation requested to cover the cost of hiring the hall.
