VESTAVIA HILLS, ALABAMA May 22, 2021 — James Giles has joined the award-winning team at ELM Construction, LLC, as a project manager, the company announced.
An experienced professional, Giles said he looks forward working with the Birmingham area’s premier design/build remodeler. In his new role, Giles will be tasked with ensuring all ELM Construction projects run smoothly.
Giles said he enjoys the sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes from making homeowners’ dreams come true. He recalled one especially happy customer from his past. “She hugged my neck and cried tears of joy because of the happiness a new bathroom brought to her,” he recalled. “How could you not want to help as many people as you could to experience that?”
Giles began his career in construction in high school, helping a drywall crew during the summers. After graduation, he met a mentor who taught him everything there was to know about construction, from painting and carpentry to kitchen remodeling. He worked his way up the ranks as the company grew, eventually taking on project management.
When asked about why he decided to join ELM, Giles cited the company’s reputation as being one of the area’s best. “I always believed that a team of professionals with skill and integrity could deliver a superior experience,” he said. “ELM has the right team with the right expertise in place.
