Dr. Mark Anderton, DMD of Anderton Family Dental Wenatchee Washington (formally practicing in East Wenatchee) announces the introduction of its new Dental Implant service, now serving East Wenatchee, Wenatchee and surrounding areas including Leavenworth, Cashmere, Chelan, Quincy.

Dental implants are titanium posts that are attached in the jawbone on the area of the missing tooth/teeth. This provides patients a solid foundation for their removable or permanent teeth. It enables patients to have a natural looking and functioning teeth replacement that gives them the perfect smile and the ability to eat almost anything.
Procedure
Dental implants are embedded to your jawbone during a brief surgical procedure. Your dentist at Anderton Family Dental will cut through the gum tissue, uncovering the jawbone before carefully drilling a hole where your implant will be screwed. The gum will then be replaced and stitched back in its position. Once the bone and the gum are healed after 6 to 12 weeks, your dentist will attach an abutment (a connector post) to the post that will firmly hold your new tooth. The whole process could take about 3 to 6 months and the recovery time could take anywhere from 2 to 3 months.

Dental Crowns and Bridges:
Dental crowns and bridges are used to repair missing or damaged teeth. Anderton Family Dental uses state-of-the-art equipment to create dental crowns and bridges that match the shape and color of your existing teeth. This procedure will also decrease the risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and teeth shifting.
Bridges: A dental bridge is a metal/ceramic material or zirconia material that is normally used to replace a missing tooth. It “bridges” the gap between missing or extracted teeth. A bridge procedure is normally completed within two sessions over a course of 2 weeks to six months.

Root canal treatments are performed with advanced techniques and materials, making them far more comfortable and faster. Dr. Mark Anderton, D.M.D., grew up in Kenmore, WA and attended the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry in Lexington, KY, graduating in 2004. He practiced in a group setting in East Wenatchee, WA for 12 years before selling his part of the business and relocating to Wenatchee. Dr. Anderton has experience in crown/bridge, fillings, root canals, all types of extractions, implants, and orthodontics.
