One of the earliest challenges This Is Blythe faced was reaching and finding customers since Blythe continued to live in relative obscurity, known only to hard-core collectors as a quaint curiosity.
While every business of course faces challenges, some, like This Is Blythe are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. Once such victory came when they published a Blythe photography book and got attention of thousands of Blythe enthusiasts.
Jenna Anderson, owner at This Is Blythe was also quoted when discussing another big win. “One of the high points of This Is Blythe’s history so far was getting our Blythe doll featured in a Netflix production called Queer Eye. The actor, who is a skilled manga artist and Blythe collector is displaying the Blythe doll in his bedroom”. One of their core objectives is to reach 20,000 customers with their products and add more products for doll customization. They also plan to list more than 1000 custom one-of-a-kind Blythe dolls on their website.
