Earlier today, Play Wild finally announced the release of the company’s new dome climber – it’s new kids climbing dome, which has been in development since January, 2020. The main aim when developing the product was to last longer and provide better value for money than other similar backyard products on the market… but it does so, with a difference.
Ross MacDonald, Play Wild Co-Founder at Play Wild, says: “We wanted to try something new with our backyard climbing dome. Anyone familiar with the outdoor play for kids market will probably have noticed how everyone else seems to use inferior materials and charge more. This is a problem because people deserve a dome climber that will last when they pay good money.”
So as a welcome breath of fresh air, the Play Wild geometric dome climber will instead of painting straight onto the steel like competitor products, firstly use a hot galvanization process on the steel before painting. This provides superior protection against rust, corrosion and the elements meaning the dome climber will last much longer than other products on the market. Additionally all the componentry used for holding the tubes together such as the nuts, bolts and washers are made from stainless-steel rather than zinc plated steel. Again this provides far superior rust protection making the Play Wild kids jungle gym dome a better product and better value. Play Wild chose to make this move because “We are an ethical company who likes to provide the best quality products people can buy” says Mr MacDonald.
The jungle gym climber is 10 feet in diamter and 5 feet high making it suitable for children aged 3 years old through to 10 years old, though it will also support the weight of most adults.
Mr MacDonald also said “We want to give our customers a superior jungle gym dome climber that will last the whole family and still be in great condition to onsell once the kids have outgrown it. With our climbing dome that is a real possibility for families. We want them to feel that they have made a wise investment in quality knowing our product is superior in materials and is safety tested to meet and exceed American standards when their children are using our climbing dome. Trying something new is always a risk, but it’s a risk we believe is worth taking.”
