So much so in fact that one recent employee has recently been awarded a prestigious Spotlight Award for his contribution to excellence to customer service.


According to the latest Australia and New Zealand Crime Survey Report, thieves stole close to $4 billion in 2018 from retailers. The report stated that checkouts were particularly vulnerable.


Despite many stores introducing point of sale video analytics, techniques like mis-scan operations, refund fraud, sale voiding and point-of-sale theft are just some of the ways that Australian retailers continue to lose money. By deploying trained checkout officers to assist in and around till points, this innovative approach by MASG has so far seen losses decrease across many retailers.


In addition to assisting with tasks like product availability and customer service, assisted-checkout officers such as Sharath are highly trained in loss prevention and body language skills. As an outstanding member of MASG’s retail team, he was recently recognised with a prestigious Spotlight Award for his excellence in customer service.


This is an award given to company individuals who go above and beyond to deliver a level of exceptional service. Company Founder Micky Ahuja started the Spotlight Award Scheme several years back as a way of recognising the great work and effort that his employees continually deliver.
