Cape Town based Retro Photo Booth announced an addition to its already large range of photo booth options. It has launched a new open photo booth for customers concerned about confined spaces for their special events.

With Covid lockdowns easing across South Africa, Retro Photo Booth has seen a strong demand for additional entertainment to make each event even more memorable for their customers and all of their guests.
“There is a pent-up demand coming out of the recent pandemic spike for the staging of smaller more unique events, including weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions and other special occasions” said Retro Photo Booth owner Peter Stoffer.
Retro Photo Booth offers a variety of different types of booths, including the more traditional Closed Booths, the new Open Booths, a unique Mobile VW “Kombi” Van booth as well as Selfie Pad booths.
Retro Photo Booths are available for hire in and around the areas of Cape Town and Stellenbosch, as well as Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Durban.
The new Open Photo Booth has initially been launched in Cape Town and Stellenbosch, with the other locations receiving them in the near future.
The Retro Open booths have recently been especially popular at all of the events. It is far easier to enforce the necessary COVID protocols with an open booth whilst guests can still enjoy themselves.
The Retro Open Booths also feature greenscreen functionality which has become an increasingly popular feature. This allows the host to select a range of custom backgrounds for guests to choose from for each of their individual photos.
The range of retro-inspired booths issue instant, photo lab quality prints in both colour and black & white, and in several different layouts. All booth photos are taken with automated high quality Canon equipment.
“We have worked hard to retain the Retro look and feel on all of our product offerings. Our clients say this adds a unique element that none of our competitors offer. Even our website is designed to support that special Retro experience” said Stoffer.
Each Retro Photo Booth hire package is accompanied by a full kit of props that guests can wear, including feather boas, goofy glasses, unusual hats and witty signs.
Also included in each hire are free custom logos that can be printed on each of the photo strips, as well as on-site attendants to assist with setup and operation of the booths,
A range of custom branding features is a popular option, especially for corporate clients. The booths can be wrapped with branded custom graphics and these graphics can be added to the touch screen inside of the booths as well as onto the printed photo strips.
Retro Photo Booth has implemented stringent Covid-19 safety protocols to ensure the safety of all guests and staff. Clients are urged to stage their events and photo booths outside or in an area with good air circulation, and social distancing is enforced.
All booths, props and equipment are regularly sanitized, and additional measures can be implemented at the request of their clients.
