New reverse phone lookup service gives users a a unique new way to band against telemarketers through community-based comment forums.
— Although reverse phone lookup services are not few and far between, there is one service that has taken phone number lookups to an even more personal level. PhoneCallPages.com recently launched its new layout and is unlike its competitors in the community that it offers—users are encouraged to report the nature of the unwanted calls they receive as a warning to others who may be searching for the identity behind the same number.
As home phones are continuing to be replaced by mobile phones more frequently, it’s no surprise that consumers are receiving more and more unwanted phone calls on their cellular devices. Whether they’re telemarketers searching for new recruits or companies trying to collect donations for various causes, there’s no doubt that cell phone users are receiving more calls they aren’t expecting or wanting to receive.
Michigan resident and business owner, Mark Walls, said he gets at least one telemarketing call per day, if not more. “I can’t tell you how many times my phone rings everyday. If I miss a call from an unknown number, I have to look it up to make sure it wasn’t a client. This new service has been great though; the comments from other consumers on PhoneCallPages.com have saved me from paying the fee every time,” Walls remarked.
The site was launched less than six months ago, but users are quickly filling the pages with helpful (and often comical) comments like, “automated spammy voicemail that appears to come from Colorado. Leaves a message about starting a home business or something. Losers.” Phonecallpages.com is the first reverse phone lookup service to offer this unique community of consumer reporting, and although it’s still in its early stages, word of this new service is certainly spreading quickly. PhoneCallPages.com also offers several different packages to accommodate one-time users as well as recurring customers.
