With all the efforts to increase recycling among the average person a recent poll found that only thirty-percent of plastic bottles are recycled. For whatever reason that number is drastically reduced for water bottles which only see a meager twelve percent of users recycle.


In fact to create a year’s worth of disposable water bottles in the United States alone requires 1.5 million barrels of oil. And though this is a surging problem in the United States, it is also a world concern being that it is estimated that world consumption of disposable water bottles is growing and currently stands at around 2.7 million tons per year.
