One Vine Wines announces an exclusive agreement to import wines from family-owned Polo Winery and Vineyards. These wines are from vineyards in the Uco Valley, high in the Andes of Argentina.

San Diego, CA – One Vine Wines, a wholesale wine distributor and importer, announces the latest in wine from Argentina with an exclusive agreement with Polo Winery and Vineyards. For over 25 years, Polo Winery and Vineyards has been a family business, founded by Ramón Polo. The second generation is now carrying forward Ramon’s vision.

“We welcome Polo Winery to the U.S. and to One Vine Wines,” said Greg Martellotto, owner. “The dedication and respect of two generations for passion, terroir and human effort are evident in their wines. One Vine Wines is proud to bring to the U.S. a fresh vision for Malbec.”

Polo Vineyards lie high at the base of the Andes mountains in the extraordinary Uco Valley of Argentina in La Consulta area. The Uco Valley is the premier wine region of Argentina. Here the intense sunlight and warm, dry climate allow grapes to achieve lush ripeness with bright acidity, revealing a depth of flavor and a balanced palate.

Polo’s antique winery, located in Lujan de Cuyo near Mendoza, was updated in 2001, maintaining the original architecture. Along with new hand-drawn labels, concrete tanks, stainless steel and oak barrels, winemaker Tomas Stahringer crafts wines of lift and depth. He also makes two sparkling wines including Brut Nature, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in a state-of-the-art winery built in 2011.

The Polo family’s goal is to convey the essential characteristics of the grape through the wine to liven up every shared experience. They honor their family and yours in moments of enjoyment together. Sun, water, and good people are in every bottle.

Imported wines will include Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, a red blend, a white blend and sparkling wine. These wines received numerous 90+ ratings from James Suckling recently. The 2017 Herencia Trabajo Malbec received 92 points. It showed an expressive nose, velvety tannins and a smooth finish.
