A webcomic series about friendship, cuteness, food, fun and sometimes a little sarcasm has been appearing on Instagram. The writer is Douglas Grillet, and the illustrator is Elias Martinez.

Not So Wild and writer Douglas Grillet are pleased to announce the launch of their new web comic site. The creator of the design is a native Venezuelan who resides in Brisbane. The artist for the comic strip is Elias Martinez. The author is a software engineer and has a full-time job as a software developer, so the strip is a way to release his creative side.

The strip is based on several animals who have human characteristics and personality traits. The comic strip is gentle and suitable for even young children. Not So Wild is intended to be a webcomic about friendship, cuteness, food, fun and sometimes a little sarcasm (to keep the adults interested), however, The creative team intends to keep it 100% child-safe, Grillet is a parent to a 6 year old girl so he takes this standard very seriously.

The creative team is composed of two people: the author, Meganuke and the artist, Gryphus. Meganuke, aka Douglas Grillet, is the author and creator of the comic. Douglas writes the scripts, and Elias draws them. Douglas also takes care of everything else related to the production of the strips, including maintaining the website and publishing the strips.

In a recent interview, Douglas explained, "I have always been a creative person, since I was a teenager I have been imagining stories and characters, but never wrote anything, because I never considered myself good at writing. My wife had been encouraging me for some time to channel those ideas and make something with it, but we never found something that felt right."

"Last year" he continued, "we were shopping and found a lion plushie, very tiny and very cute. I took the plushie and said to my wife, 'I will take this lion and write a story, and I am gonna be famous'. It was a joke, but for some reason, I took it seriously. I asked Elias to draw a cute lion, and after some attempts, we got our first character, and a few weeks later, we published the first strip."
