Virus, a Singapore-based, non-profit organisation has announced the upcoming launch of their latest community event, “Kampong”. The organisation works to promote the welfare of the existing and upcoming generations around the world.

Virus, a Singapore-based non-profit social initiative, announced the details related to their upcoming travelling exhibition “Kampong” today. The organisation provides a platform to spread awareness and ideas to inspire and bring out the creativity of its audience. The main purpose of this community event is to inspire attendees to pursue passions, skills and providing value to society instead of only wooing material wealth and luxury. This community event is also proudly supported by People’s Association (Singapore) and PassionArts Council with their firm beliefs of bringing creativity to the community.

Tan Jiahui, founder of Virus explained, “Even though space is a big constraint in our over-populated society, we seek to bring about a travelling exhibition that moves from space to space to educate people about archiving history while embracing the future. The exhibition is to be held at communal spaces that were once the center of fostering relationships between locals but are now forgotten.”

He further added, “By using these communal spaces, we hope to create a platform to once again foster relationships between locals, and especially between generations. Through this exhibition, our main purposes are to craft a path for future generations and inspire them to pursue their aspirations while educating their loved ones to understand and acknowledge the possibility of those dreams.”

The event aims to inspire youths by sharing successful case studies of local experts in the respective industries. The 15-day exhibition will showcase works of international award holders including Pann Lim, Roy Poh, design firm FARM, and many other well-known talents of Singapore. Admission is free.
