Automate Systems announced the availability of their new traffic signals and gates wide traffic control system beginning February 11, 2015.

Customers looking for the latest traffic signals and gates can purchase site wide traffic control systems by Automate Systems. The detailed product listing can be found here: http://www.automatesystems.co.uk/traffic-lights/

The Automate site wide traffic control systems are designed to appeal specifically to industrial users and include:

 – site wide traffic lights, radar speed signs, VMS (variable message signs) and gate automation to prevent to vehicle congestion

 – traffic control systems to improve manufacturing productivity

 – clever systems integration for better site safety

Auto Mate provides these benefits by installing a series of traffic lights throughout a  site facility, linked via a radio network system which allows control to be given to security personnel who use touch screen control units and PCs for this purpose.

A control unit also allows the opening and closing of entrance and exit gates across the site. It also displays which parking bay vehicle drivers should head to via the large VMS display signs placed around the job site. The VMS signs display both the vehicles license plate number and which loading bay they should park in.

Partial control of the system can also be given to other employees working on the loading dock using a push button system. When push buttons are pressed, traffic lights are held on red whilst a vehicle is unloaded. This allows forklift trucks to come out and safely unload a vehicle before another vehicle is allowed to pass.

Mike Caffrey, Project Manager of Automate Systems, when asked about wide traffic control system said:

“An average system tales about 2 weeks to install, including both setting up the long range radio network and testing changing times on the traffic lights. I’m really pleased that our system and has both improved safety and efficiency on site.”
