Asher College of Las Vegas has announced it will begin offering a new Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program in Business Administration. Asher College is committed to training high-quality job candidates for in-demand careers, and this new AAS program furthers Asher’s commitment by extending their existing program offerings in the field of business.
Businesses across the country depend upon skilled, trained business professionals as an integral component of their success. Asher recognizes that the field of business administration continues to expand, and Asher’s newest program is dedicated to training qualified, skilled business professionals to fill these positions.
The Associate of Applied Science degree program in Business Administration is designed to prepare graduates for supervisory and management positions. While earning the AAS degree, students will develop critical thinking, leadership, communication and the organizational skills necessary for success in business. The AAS program includes an expansive range of courses, from general education courses in American government, business math, and psychology, to specialized courses in entrepreneurship, project management, marketing, and human resources. The AAS program also includes a strong introduction to accounting principles and theories. In the Business Administration program, students also take courses in computer fundamentals and Microsoft Office applications. The Computer Fundamentals course leads to an additional benefit; students will be prepared to obtain the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification. This professional certification demonstrates to potential employers that the job candidate has the knowledge and skills to identify and explain the basics of computing, IT infrastructure, application and software, software development, database fundamentals and security.
With additional locations in Sacramento, California and Dallas, Texas, Asher College offers Associate of Applied Science degrees and certificate programs for careers in information technology, administrative health services, and pharmacy technology, as well as business administration. Asher College holds accreditation through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).
