A new free-to-join coffee and tea based fundraiser for nonprofit groups called the Javathon Fundraising Program has been created through the partnership efforts of Carter Resource Development and Kilambe Coffee and Tea.

(Elizabeth M. Owens, Correspondent News) - Carter Resource Development has joined with Kilambe Coffee and Tea in forming a new concept for fundraising, called the Javathon Fundraising Program, which would be free for nonprofit groups to join.

According to Mr. Jesse Carter of Carter Resource Development, most nonprofit groups, schools, and charities send its members out into the public to sell products for their organization, but this new joint effort will allow groups to sell from a website under their own name with Kilambe Coffee and Tea.

According to Carter, Kilambe Coffee and Tea handles sales and shipping for the fundraiser. Products can be sent to any place in the mainland, U.S.A. He stated that the group would need to promote the website, but the rest will be done through The Javathon Fundraising Program.

The website, www.FreeCoffeeFundraiser.com, gives guidelines and tips on getting any nonprofit group involved. The simplified process of running the fundraiser would allow group members to focus on other endeavors while the website does the selling for them, as stated on the sign-up page. Non-profits groups can add their own pictures to the site, as well, which makes it a personalized fundraising project.

Nowadays, many fundraising professionals are advising against having their members involved in door-to-door to do sales for safety reasons.

“Students and volunteers who normally do face-to-face fundraising sales can sell safely and conveniently from their home. Now their fundraising efforts will be supercharged with a modern, online, year-long fundraiser,” stated Carter.

Carter added that it would cut down on volunteer hours needed, and that one person would be able to spearhead fundraising efforts, which may make group members more willing to step up and lead a fundraiser. He stated that the products can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States, and that the website would allow the fundraiser to go on through the year.

“Getting an exceptional product right to the supporter’s door quickly was the key to making this the perfect
fundraiser,” explained Carter. He added that instead of a one-time fundraising project, this would be a convenient, on-going fundraiser that would be available year-round and 24 hours a day.

He added that buyers could sign up for the “coffee club,” and as a Preferred Monthly Customer, they would receive automatic orders on a regular basis. This, he said, could give the group a nice profit every month.

According to Kilambe Coffee and Tea’s website, their coffee is "Fair Trade certified, Kosher, certified organic, and also uses the safer Royal Select Water Process" for the decaffeinated coffee. This would give organizations an added edge in promoting their fundraiser.

It is estimated that in the U.S. alone, people consume roughly 400 million cups of coffee daily. Carter stated that this would motivate people to support nonprofit groups involved in the project, as it would be a product that they use every day.
