Our book discusses several areas in which innovative techniques and solutions could protect, detect, and respond to epidemics,” says Dr. Ebot Eyong.

— The Covid-19 pandemic has devastated the world as no other threat or malady has done in the recent past. There is an urgent need for solutions and ideas to ensure that a pandemic of such scale and intensity does not occur again. The upcoming book, “MED-CHAINS & COVID-19: Innovative Solutions for Pandemics” by Dr. Ebot Eyong, precisely offers the set of preventive measures that can avoid the reoccurrence of such tragedies.

‘MED-CHAINS & COVID-19’ offers a framework for integrated pandemic management. The framework has been conceptualized to ensure that a pandemic of the scale of COVID-19 never happens again. Instead of harping on problems and flaws or complaining, the book published this week presents innovative solutions.

Pandemics have wrought large scale damages in the last century, with significant economic, social, and political disruptions. However, healthcare systems, which ought to defend and protect the people, are in a state of disintegration, from hospital services to medical device industries, pharmaceutical industries to supply chains and regulatory activities. According to Med-Chains, these are all inter-related, and the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed these connections.

The book presents COVID-19 innovative solutions and goes on to explain the main issues related to pandemics. These problems are like those caused by other outbreaks like Ebola, Influenza, Zika, etc., against which governments and medical industry are not well prepared as they lack innovative pandemic solutions.

“What are the lessons we have learned, and how can we change to be ready for the next crisis? Our book discusses several areas in which innovative techniques and solutions could protect, detect, and respond to epidemics,” says Dr. Ebot Eyong.

The book features opinions from a wide range of healthcare and industry leaders, both public and private. The views shared include presidents, government ministers, IHOs, CEOs, scientists, and independent minds across Med-Chains. Also included are excerpts from interviews, moderated discussions, articles, opinion pieces, and other resources.

‘MED-CHAINS & COVID-19’ aims to start a serious conversation and soon be featured on a website and social networks. Invitations are welcome from journalists and the media, and for an appearance at professional and community events. All proceeds from the book will go towards charities that help kids who have lost a parent during this pandemic.

The book will be published in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Latin, and Japanese.
