Rising trends in onsite accidents in the construction industry have prompted the development of a construction safety blog. Its goal is to spread the safety message further and more strongly throughout Australia.

Targeting employers who may be too relaxed on their safety measures and endangering the lives of employees in the process, www.constructionsafetyblog.wordpress.com, today announced their launch.

While Australia has a robust system of Health and Safety legislations and procedures, it is naturally up to the employer and employees to make efforts to implement and stick to the measures. Maintaining motivation for these activities to continue is one of the core purposes of the new blog.

“When incidents don’t take place for a while, employers can get too relaxed.” says the founder of the new blog, Steve Asnicar. “There needs to be something out there reminding them that all around the world, workers are affected by lazy safety standards.”

Focusing on updating employers and work safety representatives with the latest in construction industry safety around Australia, the blog includes articles covering:
- WorkCover Safety Alerts
- Product and Service update and announcements
- Stories about on-the-ground incidences
- Advice articles on keeping a safe workplace

The blog is ramping up to 3-4 posts per week and seeks guest posts from industry experts who have valuable information for safety professionals. It is currently without advertising to keep the focus on providing unbiased information for the benefit of professionals in safety construction.
