The Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong as of 18th of February 2020 has bought the companySpanish Tutors Hong Kong Limited to expand its presence in the Hong Kong market. Spanish Tutors has specialised in one to one private tutoring at their premises as well as teaching at the students preferred locations like at their home or office. With a team of 15 full time Spanish teachers, Spanish Tutors was the third biggest Spanish school in Hong Kong. After being acquired by the Spanish Cultural Association they will be the first leading group in Hong Kong to teach the Spanish language in the city. The Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong provides Spanish courses in a small setting of 4-5 students per class and they have spanish classes for all levels from total beginners to native level. Dr. Antonio Susperregui is the new Academic Coordinator of the group and will supervise the merging process at an academic level to standardise the lesson quality. After this acquisition they will have 2 locations, one in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong Island and the other in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. Its director David Cornado has confirmed that despite the difficult environment in Hong Kong due to the coronavirus situation they will keep their plans to expand to the Central district at the end of this 2020 and they are also considering moving to bigger premises in Causeway Bay if the economic environment of the city stabilises. After this acquisition mr Cornado has confirmed there will not be any major implications for its current students learning there, the same classes will be running as usual with the same assigned teachers.
