Many people would have felt dizziness or lightheadedness one or the other time. The sensation of being unsteady, swaying, or the world spinning around them are, in medical terms, called, vertigo. NeuroEquilibrium, https://www.neuroequilibrium.in/, a super speciality chain of Advanced Vertigo and Balance Clinics is breaking the unawareness barrier with its state-of-the-art ‘Made In India’ devices to diagnose vertigo and provide holistic treatment for it in India and overseas, especially in Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Vertigo specialists across the world state that it is only a tip of an iceberg that indicates a deep-rooted medical condition. 70% vertigo issues stem from vestibular problems, injuries or a tumour in any part of the brain, or neck injury. Timely diagnose, and treatment can effectively treat vertigo.
However, this symptomatic disorder is alarmingly unaddressed, even unaware of. A staggering number of 40% of individuals have experienced vertigo but do not know what to do about it. The chronic patients suffering from vertigo keep shuttling between various doctors without knowing who is the right person to treat their vertigo.
An All Indian Healthcare – Tech Firm Specialised in Treating Balance Disorders
NeuroEquilibrium Diagnostic Systems Private Limited is based in Jaipur, India. The enterprise is started by an IIT- Alumni, Rajneesh Bhandari, his wife, vertigo and balance expert; Dr Anita Bhandari, and Kolkata based vertigo specialist Dr Anirban Biswas.
NeuroEquilibrium’s founder and MD, Mr Rajneesh Bhandari is very optimistic about the venture and says,”Advanced Vertigo and Balance Clinics of NeuroEquilibrium are one of its kind in the world and provide holistic, one-stop solution to the balance issues of the patients suffering from vertigo. There are no specialised vertigo clinics in India. Overseas vertigo health centres are part of medical schools, costly and very less in number. There was no indigenous vertigo diagnosing devices in India before NeuroEqulibrium Diagnostic Systems Private Ltd. The devices used were imported, expensive and hence making the diagnosis and the treatment of vertigo beyond the reach of a majority of people.”
Made in India initiative has smoothed the way in manufacturing the devices and making it available in India by April 2016. The founders are keen to set up a ‘clinic-in-clinic’ kind of chains by collaborating with ENT specialists and neurologists. An official of NeuroEquilibrium says the strategy is finding many takers and discussions are on with long-standing doctors and hospitals in the related field. On this date, NeuroEquilibrium has around 12 clinics in India and one in Cyprus. The long drawn plan of the founders is ambitious that aims to add 100 and more additional speciality clinics to its chain.
Advanced Technology in Aid to Treat Vertigo
Video Nystagmography (VNG), Subjective Visual Vertical (SVV), Electronystagmography (ENG), Craniocorpography (CCG), and Dynamic Visual Acuity (DVA) and in-house assessment platform technologies are patent-awaited.
The Advanced Vertigo And Balance Clinics use cloud technology to assess real-time test data of the patients and enable seamless diagnosis and treatment. The vertigo treatment comprises virtual reality technology to check the balance problems in the patients.
The one-click patient records feature in the Patient Module, allows the doctors to access assimilated information about the patient. The treatments can be customised given the severity of vertigo in the patients.
Mr Rajneesh Bhandari and the team has succeeded to get around $250,000 as pre-Series A funding by Mumbai based Unicorn India Ventures, whose founder and Managing Partner, Mr Anil Joshi, is upbeat about NeuroEquilibrium and its millennium dream of making one million patients live vertigo-free life by 2022.
