San Francisco cleaning company owner sheds some light on NYSDEC’s delayed enforcement of the cleaning product disclosure program.

More specifically, Lee addressed the fact that the New York Department of Environmental Conservation has postponed the program enforcement to October 1, 2019, as published in Environmental Notice Bulletin.

The state of California launched a similar program named Cleaning Product Right to Know Act, signed in October of 2017. The deadline for implementation of this act in California is January 1, 2020. Due to the New York law not being vetted by cleaning product manufacturers, the authorities decided to push the implementation of the act to later in the year, when experts hope both sides of the argument will reach an amicable solution.
