The popular music review website MusicCritic.com today revealed a new section of musical instrument reviews written specifically for beginners.

Music Critic was founded in 1998, and publishes album reviews, music articles, concert and live band reviews and instrument guides. The section expands the site s review sections to cover instruments and equipment for young artists, new performers and musical neophytes.

As a site dedicated to music, band and album reviews for over 20 years, we frequently find requests from people who are looking to get started in music, and want to get advice on what equipment to use, said Music Critic s editor Matt Aird. It s important to realize that there s a big market out there for less expensive musical gear that will get the job done, or in some cases physically smaller or light weight instruments. We decided that the best thing to do would be to compile information and the advice and put it out there for the budding performers of the future.

The new section of the site includes articles about the best bass and electric guitars for beginners, drum sets ideal for new drummers, and electronic keyboards and scaled down instruments for children and teenagers. Music Critic has also spent years reviewing equipment and accessories suited for bands and solo performers, which will now include the most accessible part of the market.

The intention behind these new guides is to help get young artists on the right path towards celebrating their love of music or even a professional career.

If the requests that come in from our social media, email and facebook pages are anything to judge by, this should help fill a gap in information for people who have limited budgets, require smaller instruments, or are not yet ready to fully commit to some of the admittedly more expensive instruments that we have traditionally recommended, continued Matt Aird for Music Critic. It is our hope that it will help beginners and people on any budget launch themselves towards success in music and ensure they get to experience the joy of musical creativity. ,

Founded as an online music review site, with reviews written for the people, by the people, Music Critic includes thousands of Album reviews across a wide range of genres, all the way from the popular Rock, Rap, Indie and Pop categories to Blues, World Music, Electronic and Reggae. Other popular sections include reviews of individual Concerts and live performances and soundtracks and movie themes.
