MTM is putting customer safety first during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are closely following guidelines put forth by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

[ST LOUIS, Mo.- April 7, 2020–] MTM has announced their response plan for the COVID-19 pandemic and is offering tips to slow its spread. First and foremost, client safety is the topmost concern. The company is putting safety first and closely following guidelines put forth by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). MTM leans on their recommendations to slow or prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. The immediate actions needed if anyone is experiencing flu-like symptoms is a call to the doctor’s office. This should be done before scheduling any transportation.

There are other, less immediate steps to take regarding medical transportation during this pandemic. If transportation has already been scheduled, MTM recommends a quick double check to verify that the intended destination facility has not closed temporarily. Sometimes offices have to cancel upcoming appointments for safety concerns. Verification can be done by calling the doctor’s office. For transportation that remains active, MTM requires their network of transportation providers follow CDC guidance for sanitizing vehicles. The company is committed to providing safe transportation during this time.

MTM also has a dedicated response team for this pandemic. They actively monitor the evolving situation and ensure that MTM responds accordingly with customer health and safety in mind. They echo the CDC guidelines for slowing the virus with the following tips:

Everyone should wash their hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, people should use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. People should avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Everyone should avoid close contact with people who are sick. It is strongly requested that people cover their nose and mouth with a tissue when they cough or sneeze. Then, the tissue should be thrown in the trash. Customers are advised to bring a plastic trash bag along with them in the vehicle so that they can properly dispose of tissues. The final tip is to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. MTM recommends getting more information from the CDC website.
