Narendra Modi chose to accept this beautiful artwork painted in the tricolour depicting India's growth, as a gift by Mr. Mrinmoy Barua on 9th August 2016.Indian by birth, Mrinmoy Barua has been awarded by renowned international awards like National Level Award By All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society, Shankar's International Award and Yuva Mahotsav Award by Sahitya Kala Parishad since 1986. His paintings are rendered primarily in acrylic and are known for capturing the essence of "force". "I am thrilled to have my work in such a prestigious office, the PMO", said Mr. Barua. "I love to paint the extremes of abstracts and figurative and feel it be rewarding to have our honourable Prime Minister, appreciate the beauty of art. When asked about his future plans, he said, "I am very excited about the opportunity to exhibit my work at various important art shows". "My purpose as an artist is to create art that will change the world and I will be honoured to participate in any such event in future which align close to my personal goals of promoting a happier and healthier world".
