Monroe Harding’s ‘Fostering Joy’ Fundraiser October 6 at Rocketown

Monroe Harding will host Fostering Joy, a benefit for the foster care and youth services organization, on Friday, October 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Rocketown.


Presented by Dollar General, Fostering Joy is Monroe Harding’s largest annual fundraising event, and the 2017 edition includes a family-style dinner by Nashville favorite, The Chef & I, live music by the Erik Blue Band and a silent auction. A live auction, conducted by David Allen of Music City Auctions, will feature travel experiences, collectibles and other unique items.

Monroe Harding has been changing the lives of young people since 1893. With over 8,000 children currently in foster care in the state of Tennessee, Monroe Harding provides support, security and a chance for success for youth in state custody. Fostering Joy will highlight Monroe Harding’s youth programs and share stories of success and inspiration. “Monroe Harding does for children in foster care what a family do,” says the organization’s President and CEO Mary Baker. “We provide youth and young adults in our care the opportunity to experience a family environment and create bonds with adults who care for them.”
