In a world where consumers are encouraged to stay home in order to stay safe from the spread of the novel coronavirus, many people are finding themselves laid off, furloughed, or underpaid. Millennials (those born between 1980 and 1995) have found themselves hit harder than most other generations, and are seeking solutions for their situation.Josh Hastings, co-founder of the blog Money Life Wax, is one of the personal finance bloggers who is looking to provide people with the resources that they need in order to get through this economic recession. One of his latest articles for the blog, called “41+ Proven Ways to Make Money Fast,” is designed to be a one-stop resource for anyone seeking extra cash during this time (or any time where they may need extra money).
The article includes a number of work from home options (including online tutoring, editing, copywriting, and other similar tasks), ways to make money by taking surveys, and even simple options for millennials to help their neighbors during this time while making some money.
Hastings understands that consumers are often nervous when they hear anything related to making money fast today. Millennials, especially, have a hard time asking for help and seeking out resources so that they’re able to make ends meet. So, in a time of unprecedented hardship, many millennials are turning to the web in order to find options.
In his Make Money Fast article, Hastings makes a point to quell consumers’ fears about looking for extra money by closing with these words: “When it comes to making money fast, there is a point in ALL of our lives where we need money for something. Whether it’s a bill, a need, or a want – don’t feel guilty, ashamed or bad for needing extra money. In fact, I commend you for taking the steps to figure out how to use your spare time to make extra money. You should be proud of yourself for taking action!”
Hastings plans to continue offering such advice throughout the Money Life Wax blog, both during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. This is one of several articles that he has planned for the future with a specific “work from home” focus.
