Minority Led Group Petitions NBA to Acquire LA Clippers

London Businessman and Chief Executive of the London Lions, Vincent Macaulay, and Washington, DC Businessman and Real Estate Developer Sherman Ragland form minority owned group to acquire LA Clippers.

Vincent Macaulay, owner of the London Lions and Former Chairman of the British Basketball League announced today that he and Washington, DC real estate developer Sherman Ragland have petitioned the NBA to sell the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team to their group for an undisclosed sum.

According to Ragland, “Our investment group includes a number of high profile African-Americans who would prefer at this time to not be mentioned by name.” Ragland went on to say that the group would also seek investments from private individuals through crowd funding.

Macaulay is the Chief Executive and Director of the London Lions professional basketball team.

He is also the former Chairman of the British Basketball League, British Basketball Coach of the Year 2008 and Sky Sports commentator on the NBA.

Ragland is the founder of Tradewinds International Holdings, LTD, which has served as financial advisor to state and federal government agencies in the disposition of over $3.2 billion worth of real estate assets, and the D.C. government in the development of the Newseum.
