The use of whole grains is growing at a significant rate, proving in markets around the world that consumers now understand the importance of consuming more whole grains. As of June of 2017, the Whole Grain Stamp is on more than 11,000 different products in 58 countries. “Currently, we have 34 locations that offer enough space for over 30 million bushels, and we have a staff who fully understands the end producer’s needs,” stated MKC representative Nichole Gouldie. “Grain merchandising, e-commerce, accounting, and logistics are all handled through TMA (Team Marketing Alliance,” which is an LLC that is owned by Mid Kansas Cooperative, along with three other cooperatives in central Kansas. Similar to MKC, the entire staff of TMA is dedicated to helping producers maximize their profits in the current market.”
While the risk management offerings provided by MKC are extremely important, the other tools offered for producers are also extremely helpful.
