Medical Professionals Inc., a home care agency servicing southeast and mid-Michigan, has hired four new employees to keep up with the rapidly growing demand for healthcare professionals, as a result of the aging Baby Boomer generation.

Medical Professionals, Inc. (MPI) located in Flint, Michigan has created five new positions to maintain high standards of quality services in a growing industry. With the aging of the Baby Boomers comes an increased demand for senior care services/facilities throughout the nation.

This is just the beginning of what MPI believes to be a normal adjustment to the changing demographics of the population. The growth comes as no surprise and at a welcomed pace as MPI has already begun to strengthen its resources.

A Michigan home care agency, Medical Professionals Inc. has been in business for over 25 years. It’s owned and managed by Registered Nurses and offers a full range of skilled and personal/companion care.

Tina Lopez, Chief Executive Officer, is a visionary. She has planned for what lies ahead to be sure the company has the infrastructure in place to handle it, while maintaining company standards.

“We have to ensure that our fast rate of growth does not change who we are. Thus, we are happy to announce newly created positions, along with new staff members for our family of management and caregivers.”

Linda Loving, MSA, has joined the team as Human Resource Manager. She will play a key role in ensuring staffing is in place to accommodate current and upcoming growth. She comes to MPI with a Master’s of Science in Administration and has over 13 years experience in her field of study with an extensive background in recruitment. Linda states, “I’m looking forward to finding skilled and compassionate health professionals to contribute in keeping the MPI standard and serving our customers with excellence.”

MPI provides care in a number of independent living communities throughout Southeast and Mid Michigan. Each facility requires a Wellness Manager (Registered Nurse) to supervise residents’ care. There are two new Wellness Managers joining the MPI team:

Patricia Gates, RN, BSN, joins one of the independent living communities with a vast array of experience, ranging from supervision of multi-site senior living complexes to working with the Headstart program in Greater Detroit. She has done social work in Rehabilitative Services in Adult Protection and has helped citizens with parenting, nutrition, and even employment opportunities….a real humanitarian and a great addition to the team.

Laura Urlaub, RN, BA, has several years’ experience as a Cardiology Research Coordinator and Cardio-Thoracic nurse in ICU. She initiated a quality assurance program, infection control policies, and in-services on various topics to 27 nationalities. “I am looking forward to serving the needs of MPI’s clients as the Wellness Manager. I am pleased to be a part of such an innovative company with exciting growth that reaches out to their community as well.”

Linda Andersen, RN, new Clinical Nurse Manager at MPI, brings over 28 years experience as a Registered Nurse in various clinical and management positions. She is well versed in supervision and assessment of clients’ care, as well as in training skills. The diverse spectrum of her experience and education, will prove beneficial to clients and MPI alike. She is no stranger to recognition for her hard work and dedication, being the recipient of several awards.
