While most people have heard of the Screen Actors Guild, fewer know much about the PGA or Producer’s Guild of America. However, this organization has been pivotal in bringing together those who work to produce movies, television shows and other forms of filmed media. Now, Michael Doven, a respected producer and CEO of United Pictures Group, discusses his recent acceptance to this auspicious organization and the work he does as part of the PGA.

Doven says that what drew him to the PGA was its mission, which embodies the qualities he hopes to promote in his own work. “The PGA’s mission statement is simple: ‘The PGA represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team.’ It is engaged in representing the interests of all involved in filmmaking, protecting the rights of everyone to a safe and respectful work environment and promoting the things that make our profession so incredibly rich and diverse.”

Doven, as seen at https://www.themoviedb.org/person/5011-michael-doven, is a member of the PGA and serves on the Producer’s Council as well as a new member of the International Committee whose agenda is to promote the PGA standards worldwide. For more information about Michael Doven, see
