94-year-old former UCLA professor debuts poetry book on the national stage — The Voice of Consciousness first poetry book by Dr. Jack Rothman.

Jack Rothman has been a lot of things — now a professor emeritus at UCLA, a recognized expert on social change and community organizing with over 25 books to his name, a stand-up comic at comedy clubs and coffee houses in Los Angeles, a judge for the Independent Film Spirit Awards… and now he takes his intelligence and creative spirit into the world of poetry.

Proving that he is far from done adding to his accomplishments, Rothman’s first collection of poetry, The Voice of Consciousness, has just been published and is available on Amazon. Rothman’s language offers easy-to-read poetry composed with deep humanity at its core that offers a surprising intensity as you view the world through his eyes. The language is direct and honest, laced with humor, while probing the subjects of peace, equality and love. It’s a relatable poetry collection for reflection in today’s complex world.
