“No. It isn’t stocks, bonds or options. It ain’t commodities like gold and oil either,” author reveals.

A new blog post by a maverick author is attempting to answer the question of what constitutes the best investments for the year of 2015.

Entitled “What are the best investments for 2015?”, the blog post strives to answer what banks, investment houses and brokerage firms have been rushing to answer since December 2014, that is, where to put one’s hard-earned money for this new year.

When asked about his motivations for writing such a blog post, author, content creator and ex-teacher, Lin-Cher Lee has this to say:

“All kinds of investment forecasts – whether they are based on fundamental or technical analysis – are based on the extrapolation of past data rather than a true and accurate insight into the future. Due to this limitation, investment analysts, experts and gurus are only able to project accurately into the future if nothing changes in the macroeconomic environment – which defeats the purpose of the existence of these analysts, experts and gurus in the first place.”

To Lee, the only true way to win in this investment game – whether it is for 2015 or beyond – is to put one’s time, effort and money into an investment vehicle that will appreciate over time; one which can withstand the volatility of the markets as well as adapt to the winds of change as they come.

“I will unveil this investment vehicle to you in my blog post. The answer is actually staring at you right in your face.”

Since his blog post was published, Lee has taken a lot of flak for writing about a topic that he has no experience in – investments. To those who know him – especially those from the financial advisory circles – Lee is a writer with a specific focus on Eastern martial arts, philosophy and culture; investment is hardly his forte and his most recent post is a deviation from what he is used to publishing.

Undaunted and unfazed, Lee has this to say:

“Investments are a part of life. Unless you are bent on living a hand-to-mouth existence, parking your financial resources somewhere and having the money work for you is what you should do over the course of your lifetime. I am only taking aim at this shiny object syndrome, where people are on the constant lookout for the next big thing.”

He also added that he is not opposed to paying attention to the experts and gurus of the financial world. The only thing he is against is the blatant neglect of the “one big thing” that will make it for anyone who will focus on the right thing.

“As with everything, use your discretion, even when reading my blog post.”
