SOLIDteknics Lightning Skillet has just launched on Kickstarter. They have brought on Funded Today to help bring their product to a wider audience and increase pledges for the duration of the campaign.About Lightning Skillet
Lightning Skillet is SOLIDteknics smallest US-ION skillet for maximum value. It offers maximum performance at the minimum possible price, in a high performance, no frills 7.5" skillet.
Lightning Skillet weighs 2lbs, has a 7.5” diameter, 1.425” depth, 5.9” cooking surface, 17.5” length including the handle, 2.45” height, and a capacity of 0.84qt/26.88 fluid ounces.
Like SOLIDteknic’s Australian Lightning range made in Sydney and launched earlier this year, they’ve eliminated every non-essential cost and cut our margins to the bone, while retaining the superlative performance of these skillets. The handle vents have been simplified, eliminated the base stamp, and replaced the costly CNC machine-rounded edges with pressed-round edges where they are needed most: around the handle, not the skillet rim.
The same legendary wrought iron material is still used, now in 2.5mm (0.098" or 49/500") thickness. Not only does this make the skillet lighter, it also helps cut costs and adds performance: faster, very even heating, with plenty of thermal mass for searing the biggest steaks without cooling the skillet.
Pricing and Availability
Lightning Skillet is available to back now on Kickstarter. They are hopeful to see an increase in pledges with the help of Funded Today and their team. Once the campaign ends, the products are set to produce and ship to all backers by February 2021. The starting price for one Lightning Skillet is $39 USD.
