Les Koonce, a former board member of the Jean Weingarten Children's Center, announces his fundraising campaign for two organizations that provide free and discounted programs for America's most vulnerable and deserving populations.The Wounded Warrior project helps fill in the substantial gaps in government care for our veterans. "The demand for the programs and services has grown from serving a handful of injured veterans to now serving tens of thousands, and they continue to receive hundreds of new registrations from injured veterans, their families, and caregivers each month," said Koonce.
Additionally, and following his longtime Board membership, Koonce continues to support the Jean Weingarten Children's Center, which seeks to leverage early diagnosis and intervention, advances in technology, and comprehensive parent training to help children with hearing loss and other communication challenges reach their full potential.
A lifelong philanthropist, Les Koonce has served on the boards of several non-profits. He recently announced his alliance with an organization that seeks to assist those in Nepal's most impoverished villages, where Koonce will leverage his charity-advisory experience.

Les Koonce graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Campbell College in 1971, where he majored in Accounting. Afterwards, Les worked as an insurance agent for Penn Mutual Life, before he started his own company in the early '80s. An ambitious self-starter, he has been self-employed for most of his working life and has 41 years of experience in the financial services industry.
