Since 2002, HuBDIC has played a crucial role in the development of smart healthcare technology in Korea, and now the innovative team is expanding its reach further by officially launching in the United States.
— Founded at the start of the millennium, HuBDIC Co., Ltd. has been heavily engaged in the research and development of ground-breaking medical devices across Korea, helping to transform the healthcare industry.
Since 2002, the company has steadily grown each year, establishing its first corporate research institute in 2003, with the HuBDIC forehead thermometer being selected as a world-class product in 2005. Just two years later, the brand then achieved its first complex health terminal approval, while in 2009, it obtained permission to become the first non-contact temperature measurement developer in Korea.
Securing a patent for the state-of-the-art non-contact temperature technology in 2010, the company now holds 17 technology patents and design patents, including non-contact body temperature measurement technology and home healthcare technology.
In 2013, HuBDIC began expanding on a global scale with the formation of HuBDIC Japan. In 2021, the Korean-based innovators have decided to take this further with the launch of HuBDIC USA. This new move will see the company bringing its ground-breaking products to an even larger market, helping to not only strengthen its corporate competitiveness but also significantly improving public healthcare.
This move marks an important step in HuBDIC’s history. The move into the United States means they are the first Korean company to receive non-contact temperature measurement technology patent and product approval by the FDA, seeing its infrared non-contact thermometers used across the country.
To maximize its healthcare benefits, HuBDIC has continuously researched and developed its products, creating an array of U-Healthcare diagnostic equipment. Their technology applies body information measurement technology and pulse measurement technology with oriental medicine technology, patient monitoring technology, and gait assistance equipment.
Since its formation, HuBDIC has based its operations on four core technologies:
- Independent development of condensing lens sensor for non-contact body temperature measurement and registration of a patent for non-contact body temperature measurement
- Development of mechanical die casting for maintenance of three degree light-converging
- Development of algorithm technology for compensation by external environmental factors
- Application of body temperature equation and compensation mapping through multi-order rare curve virtual equation
These principles help to ensure that the HuBDIC range helps to minimize the risk of infection from contagious diseases, a particularly important factor given the current climate. Each product has been developed to be safely used around high-risk viruses, while it can also be used in multiple scenarios such as finding the temperature of bathwater, baby bottles, patient food, and even room temperature. HuBDIC’s range of infrared non-contact thermometers, nasal aspirators, blood pressure monitors, and massagers is also non-irritating and does not require the need to change filters.
Alongside its move into America, the second half of 2021 will also see HuBDIC Co., Ltd. expand its reach further by offering its primary diagnostic medical devices and healthcare products through Amazon and Hotdeal.
Jeongwoo Ha, overseas sales manager at HuBDIC added, “Since the start, HuBDIC has always strived to push the boundaries, and our move into the United States is an incredibly exciting time for the whole company. Not only will it help us to strengthen our corporate competitiveness but also helps more individuals to enjoy our revolutionary products.”
