The Gameboard-1 is a digital gaming console. It connects physical tokens and personal electronic devices with a portable, lightweight, and interactive game board console. It is designed for gamers, streamers, families, and anyone who loves playing games.
The Gameboard-1 is a 16” x 16” touchscreen hardware device that is thin, lightweight, and portable. It is designed with thin edges, chemically strengthened glass, and plastic housing for durability. It has two USB-C ports, four speakers and microphones, 128GB SSD hard drive onboard, and 65-bit CPU and 4GB of RAM.
The technology used recognizes inputs from multiple sources simultaneously.
The 400 FPS refresh rate allows fast-paced gameplay with low latency, from multiple contact points. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integration allows personal electronic devices to create virtual interactions with the board environment. It can even connect multiple gameboards for a multi-screen gaming experience using NFC sensors and internal antenna arrays.
Pricing and Availability
Gameboard is available to back now on Kickstarter. They are hopeful to see an increase in pledges with the help of Funded Today and their team. Once the campaign ends, the products are set to produce and ship to all backers by October 2020. The starting price for one Gameboard 1st Edition is $299 USD.
