Attorney Jonathan Bobbitt of Gilbert Russell McWherter Scott Bobbitt PLC, was recently selection for inclusion in the 23rd edition of Best Lawyers in America for his work in the area of Litigation – Labor and Employment. About the Best Lawyers in America Award
Best Lawyers in America “is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession…. For more than three decades, Best Lawyers lists have earned the respect of the profession, the media, and the public, as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere.” This year, more than 7.3 million attorneys, practicing in 140 areas of the law, were nominated for inclusion. Fewer than 1% of all nominated attorneys were ultimately selected for this year’s list.
In order to be considered for inclusion, an attorney must either be nominated by an outside party, or have been nominated in the previous three years. Attorneys who have previously been reviewed or accepted for inclusion previously are not guaranteed a place for the following year.
All nominees are reviewed and evaluated by current Best Lawyers members, who then pass those evaluations along for a final calculation. If the results are high enough, nominees are then vetted to ensure that they are in good standing with local bar association(s). The firm is then notified of the attorney’s selection for inclusion.
