Jesus Love Ministries International, a leading Australian Christian ministry group, announced the commencement of a new digital campaign focused on spreading awareness of the Gospel of Christianity in innovative ways. The multi-faceted, coordinated initiative will make use of a number of digital venues which have previously been neglected by Christian ministries in Australia and elsewhere. Noticing that many Christian groups in Australia and elsewhere were failing to take advantage of the many possibilities enabled by the present digital age, Scharff set out to pin down ways that these resources could be better utilized. That research led to the formulation of a comprehensive plan whereby a number of digital approaches would be combined in a coordinated way to maximize the reach and power of a message designed to bring more people to Jesus Christ.
The just-initiated campaign incorporates discrete efforts in the digital mobile application, video sharing, blogging, and social media spheres. As part of the first thrust, Jesus Love Ministries International recently made available two versions of a mobile game, ZOE NT and ZOE OT, which help players learn the Bible in entertaining, easily accessible ways. The video-oriented side of the new campaign includes a number of innovative YouTube sermons created by Scharff, whereby he uses well-known secular songs to cast penetrating lights on different aspects of the Bible and the Christian faith in ways that are calculated to appeal to those who might otherwise scoff at such evangelical overtures.
"We were founded with the sole purpose of making a difference," Scharff continued "and our new outreach effort is a product of that underlying goal.
