Leadership is one of the most important qualities a sports coach can have, and plays a big role in the development of the players and student athletes they work with.

Good leadership skills are crucial, especially when factoring in the prominent role that coaches play in athletes’ lives. There are many ways to improve leadership skills, but for those who are struggling to create a winning culture, it can often be difficult to know where to begin.

This is where the LeaderKit approach taught by Jeremy Boone can help. Coach Boone has spoken to over 10,000 leaders in high school sports, teaching his approach to help them develop their program in the most effective way.

His focus is on how to create a winning culture, create great experiences for high school student athletes, and helping coaches to be the type of leader that athletes need them to be.

Masanori Toguchi Jr, the athletic director at William A Hough High School in Charlotte, NC, and current president of the NC Athlete Directors Association, said: “The 48th Annual NCADA Conference was the best yet. Jeremy Boone was the keynote speaker of the conference and had everyone asking themselves are you a manager or a winning leader?”

He added: “Coach Boone created critical conversations amongst peers that would go on for days. Boone left an impact on the North Carolina Athletic Directors that will help all of us create better experiences for our student athletes.”

John Yewcic, the athletic director at West Charlotte High School, added: “Our student athletes and coaches have benefitted greatly from working with Jeremy and his LeaderKit program over the past year. Everyone is starting to take ownership of the experience they want to have while here at West Charlotte High School.”
