Peabody Conservatory trained guitarist Steven Herron, who is also the president of Chord Melody Guitar Music, commented “As a guitar player myself, I'm excited about seeing all of these new jazz guitar books and DVDs on our shelves! Designed to cater to a wide range of guitarists including pickstyle and fingerstyle players, the newly arrived jazz guitar course materials are by a variety of authors including many famous legends of the jazz guitar world such as George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Johnny Smith, Barney Kessel, Martin Taylor, Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow, Jim Hall, Frank Vignola, George Van Eps, and Charlie Byrd to name just a few. The books and DVDs also present all levels of jazz guitar playing from beginner to very advanced or professional.
The vast majority of the jazz guitar instructional DVDs give students, teachers, and professional players the ability to watch clips from each DVD so that they can get a better idea of what the level of the material being taught is as well as how the featured jazz guitarist goes about teaching and presenting the material. All of the jazz guitar courses, books, and DVDs are available for purchase as physical products while many of the DVDs are also available as immediate downloads that allow the customer to also print out any sheet music from the DVD.
