IRVING, TEXAS, June 11 2020: Add-All Electric, Inc. is proud to be celebrating their 50th Anniversary. This is a huge milestone for the Irving, TX electricians. They have provided electrical services to home and business owners throughout Dallas/Fort Worth and the surrounding communities since 1970.
The company got it’s start when founders John & Becky Smith started the business. John had just attained his Master Electrician’s license when work at his job slowed down. He decided to take his success into his own hands and started Add-All Electric.
One of the earliest challenges Add-All Electric faced was getting new business. But with John’s tenacity and people personality he just started knocking on doors and the company grew.
While every business, of course, faces challenges, some, like Add-All Electric are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. One such victory was back in the early 1980’s when John met with a home builder and started installing electrical in new home construction. It was this opportunity that took the business from a small 2 truck firm to a 19 truck business.
Eric Smith, John’s son and current owner at Add-All Electric, Inc., said, “The new construction niche was very important to getting Add-All Electric off the ground. Although we no longer work in the new construction niche, we have grown our service offerings to include residential, commercial and industrial electrical services. The biggest change is that we specialize in the installation and maintenance of high end machinery and high mast LED lighting.” Talking about one of his recent victories, Eric said, “Just a few months ago we earned the business of a large printing company here in Dallas. The owner has us travelling to different states to disassemble massive amounts of machinery, then reassemble it back here in Dallas. One building alone has 75 new machines in it and some of the machines require 11 dedicated electrical lines for example.”
Talking about this milestone anniversary, Eric Smith says, “We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 50 Year Anniversary. Like every business we’ve had our ups and downs but our customers make the difference for us. We have many customers who have been with us 20 years or more. I believe the secret to getting this far in business today is the relationships we have built with our customers and our incredible supervisory staff. Many of our staff have been with us for years also. But more importantly, they treat the business as if it were their own and they do the right thing for our customers.”
Add-All Electric, Inc. recently downsized to 13 employees due to Covid-19 but Eric Smith says they’ll be hiring and plan to be at 20 by the end of June. One of their core objectives this year is to bring the business back to pre-Covid19 levels and continue to grow their high mast lighting operations for sports fields and parking lots around the state.
