Unique fundraising method creates cash to support children and their families.

There are a growing number of entrepreneurs for whom making money in and of itself is not their main purpose for being in business. They see the very real potential for making a difference for others through their business. But what happens when personal tragedy strikes, business, and even doing good, can easily and understandably take a backseat in the face of grief and loss.

Paul Irvine’s family recently suffered a terrible tragedy, the loss of his 11-week-old niece Willow. Willow and her twin Aodhan were born in February 2013, and while Aodhan was born healthy, Willow was born with life-threatening multiple heart defects. Finally at home after a successful operation, Willow was later re-admitted to hospital with stomach problems. Sadly, she passed away on April 22, 2013.

As heart breaking as this loss is to Paul and his family, they were extremely grateful to the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for the incredible, loving care that the staff gave Willow during her short life, and for the support and comfort they provided Paul’s family during their ordeal. And this is just one of hundreds of thousands of such stories.

Every year, Alder Hey, located in Liverpool, England, provides critical care and support to 270,000 seriously ill children and their families. In return for their care of Willow and her family, Paul wanted to find a way to support their work, and at the same time, help fellow business owners in the current economic environment.

A Unique Response to Make a Difference As a successful online marketer, Paul Irvine has banded together with other creative marketers to offer a top-quality package of online marketing training to help businesses, organizations, and charities learn how to get more online traffic.

Many top online marketers from around the globe have rallied to this cause, donating products, services and marketing support. None of them will derive any financial benefit from this fundraiser, and in an unprecedented move, none of them will gather any Traffic Zen buyers’ names for future marketing campaigns.

The entire Traffic Zen package, worth over $500, will be available for just $27, with all proceeds being donated directly to the Alder Hey charity (www.alderheycharity.com). The fundraising event is set to go live on May 24th, 2013 at 4pm EST (9pm BST), and all products will be available in a digital format ready to download immediately.

“We’re so pleased that Paul and his fellow online marketers have chosen to support our charity in this unique way. Like so many other families that need to access the hospital’s services, Paul knows the value of going the extra mile to support children and families at a time of need. Alder Hey Charity does this by raising funds to enable us to help make a difficult experience easier for both children and their families. Not only will this fundraising generate much needed funds to benefit our patients, but it will introduce our charity to a wider audience in the US. We’d like to thank them for donating their time and all proceeds from this venture.” Claire White, Director.

“The loss of our lovely Willow has been a devastating loss for our family. But throughout this ordeal, we have been immensely grateful to the team at Alder Hey for their loving care and support, which has made such a difference. It is my sincere hope that this campaign will make a significant contribution that enables Alder Hey to help many more children and their families. And it is my sincere belief that our Traffic Zen offering provides some the highest caliber tools and training available to enable business owners to market more effectively online.” Paul Irvine, Creator of Traffic Zen.
