IntelliTec College of Albuquerque is excited to announce the many changes that have occurred recently. Over the last year, the Albuquerque campus has launched a new Medical Billing and Coding program, a new Medical Assisting program, and a new Massage Therapy program and will soon have a new massage clinic.
Beginning August 24, 2020, IntelliTec expanded the Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program to the Albuquerque campus. IntelliTec created the Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program to help meet the need for administrative medical professionals in today’s healthcare world. Recognizing this unprecedented time of global medical emergency, IntelliTec College added this program to train students to fill the jobs that are in high demand in their communities.
In announcing the addition of the Medical Billing and Coding program, David Vice, President and CEO of IntelliTec, said, “At IntelliTec, our goal is to provide our students with the training programs they need for today’s world. Right now, healthcare workers are essential. IntelliTec is excited to extend Albuquerque’s program offerings to encompass administrative healthcare services. With the introduction of this new medical program, IntelliTec College is now better equipped than ever to prepare our students for the career needs of the future.”
The Medical Billing and Coding program at IntelliTec is designed to be achievable in as few as 12 months. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to sit for professional certifications including the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), the Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS), and the Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) from the National Healthcareer Association, and the CPC-A Certified Professional Coder and the CPB-Certified Professional Biller from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
IntelliTec continued its mission to prepare students for in-demand medical careers by bringing the popular Medical Assistant program to the Albuquerque campus, beginning November 16, 2020. IntelliTec’s Medical Assisting program is designed to help meet the need for clinical and administrative medical professionals in today’s healthcare world. Medical assistants are essential healthcare workers who directly influence the quality and delivery of vital healthcare services. The Medical Assisting program at IntelliTec is designed to be achievable in as few as 12 months. Upon completing the program, students are prepared to sit for the AMT Registered Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist examinations for certification.
To enhance offerings for students interested in all aspects of health and wellness, IntellITec College also brought the Massage Therapy program to the Albuquerque campus, beginning January 11th, 2021. Massage therapists use therapeutic touch to provide relaxation, relieve pain and stress, and rehabilitate injuries, and IntelliTec’s program is designed to be achievable in as few as 9 months. Upon completing the program, students are prepared to sit for professional certifications, including the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEX), administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. IntelliTec graduates will also be prepared to sit for the Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork exam administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB).
IntelliTec College is proud and excited to announce the expansion of these three programs to the Albuquerque campus over the last year. By adding these programs to the Albuquerque, New Mexico campus, IntelliTec hopes to serve students and the community better. IntelliTec College is a career training institute offering certificate programs and Associate degree programs, each designed to provide hands-on, practical training to prepare students with the training they need for success in their chosen field.
